VILLAGE OF CORRALES CONSERVATION PLANNING

SANDOVAL COUNTY, NEW MEXICO

CONSERVATION PLANNING & CONSULTING

In the Village of Corrales (“Village”) election of March 6, 2018, the residents of the Village overwhelmingly voted to pass Bond Question 4 by a 79.28% (yes vote) to 20.72% (no vote) margin.  Bond Question 4 specifically asked voters the following:

Shall the Village of Corrales issue up to $2,500,000 in general obligation bonds payable from general (ad valorem) taxes for the purpose of acquiring conservation easements or other rights or interests in land for the preservation of farmland, open space, wildlife habitat, and recreational opportunities?

The Village subsequently hired Unique Places to assist with the design and implementation of a strategic process by which the Village will expend their bond funding for agricultural, recreation and open space conservation purposes.
